Tribute to my love!

Amy and I have been on this ride for a loooong time. Like all rides we have had our ups and downs. But what's important is that we continue to be on the same ride together. We've had many adventures together in our nine years of marriage (and even before that really). Stuff I would have NEVER gotten to do without her. So to pay tribute to my wife and our time together on this day, our anniversary, I figured I'd reminisce about some of our greatest adventures and achievements.

The best place to start is the day we started this crazy journey together as a team. We got married on a beautiful day on this day in 2007. Our wedding was wonderful. All our family and friends came out to see Amy look beautiful and me to make a fool of myself (I didn't write my vows, something I will always regret). But it will always be one of the best days of my life.

The day after our wedding started our first adventure as a married couple. Our honeymoon was a couple of days in Las Vegas and it was awesome! We walked the strip and visited all the big casinos. It was so much fun! We also check out a couple of shows and got to eat and several awesome restaurants! Our time went by so quickly. It's definitely a trip I think we'd both like to take again eventually.

We love to go on adventures as a family. Because of Amy I have gotten to visit New York City more then I ever would have without her. She has shown me what a great place it can be and shared her love with the city with me. With her help we both have gotten to go to New York Comic Con several times. We even cosplayed once as Bob and Linda from Bob's Burgers! She truly is my Linda to her Bob.

We also have gotten to do some site seeing as well. Visiting Central Park and several of the museums. I can't wait to do them all again with Kitty when she gets older! But I always have fun when the two of us are together. And she gives me strength to deal and suppress my anxiety issues so I can enjoy our adventures!

Our adventures are not always so fast paced. Sometimes it's nice to just escape for a while. Amy loves the sea. It's another wonder of our word she has shown me. We have a spot down near Mystic where we like to go and just sit on the beach and stare out at the water. I've always referred to it as our spot. We just recently took Kitty there for the first time a couple weeks ago. I hope to get to bring them both there often as Kitty grows up.

But that's not the only ocean beach trip we have done! While Kitty was baking in the oven we went for a week at Cape Cod. It was such an amazing week. We visited the National Sea Shore and mini golfed and so many other fun things! It's a trip I'd like to bring Kitty on one day too!

But not all our adventures involved traveling. We have supported each other in our lives too. Amy is such a strong motivated person and I know she can accomplish anything she puts her mind too. I have gotten to witness her at her greatest moments. Achieving things she thought she could never do and pushing herself. I am grateful that she is now giving me that same opportunity and I could not be more grateful for it.

Finally Amy has given me the best gift of all and will be our greatest adventure, our beautiful daughter Kitty. The second best day of my life was the day she was born. Amy is not only the best wife, but a wonderful mom. Our little girl has changed too much in the past year and loves her momma like nothing else. I know the feeling is mutual!

So this year I couldn't get her a card. Money is tight and I couldn't buy her a gift. Not even flowers were an option. But what I can do is this. Write this tribute and post it for the world to see. 9 years of wonder adventures and I'm sure we can double or triple that number. I love you Amy!
