I
don't ordinarily stray from my pull list too much but I had invested interest
in the story-line of this book for a couple of years. International Iron Man #7
finally answers the question, who are Tony Stark's real parents. It has been some
time since it was revealed that Tony was adopted and International Iron Man was
all about Tony's quest of discovery to find the truth. It ends up being a very
touching story with a reveal that was somewhat expected, yet satisfying and
gives Tony and even bigger link so SHIELD then anyone ever expected. I would
recommend picking up International Iron Man #6 as well since the reveal spans
both issues but you don't necessarily need to read both to understand the story
and the final ending.
My
other favorite title this week is also not on my pull list (I swear this
doesn't happen often). D.C. has been going through their big Rebirth so I have
been trying out the various new runs they have been putting out. Raven #1 was
very enjoyable. I'm not super familiar with the character outside of the first
Teen Titans cartoon. Her reactions to going to every day high school were great
with her “magic” coming into play in an unexpected way. Plus having an obvious
dark character move into a very bright Christian environment should yield a
good ongoing story as well. This will definitely be added to the pull list for
a while to see where the story takes me. Might end up a long-term title and has
inspired me to try the Teen Titans comic when it comes out next week.
